ATTRACTING WOMEN TO THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

Site Tours

Manufacturing employers can offer 1-2 hour tours for female students, allowing them to explore the workplace and meet workers, including women in the industry.

Try-a-Trade Days

Companies can offer hands-on workshops for women and students to experience their trade, either on-site or in partnership with TAFEs and group training organizations. Participants can learn to use tools and create projects, gaining practical skills in a real-world setting.

Work Experience

Companies can partner with Local Learning and Employment Networks (LLENs) and HeadStart programs to host work experience and/or school-based apprenticeships.
